Reflective textiles with your logo – how does reflection work in a hat and scarf?

By day they look like classic knitted hats and scarves, after dark they stand out in the headlights. We show how to give textiles reflective properties, where to place the reflective elements and how to match them to your brand’s needs.

Reflective textiles with your logo – how does reflection work in a hat and scarf?

In autumn and winter, a good part of the journey to work, school or training happens after dark. It’s a time of year when we need to be especially careful, both as drivers and as pedestrians. That’s why more and more companies are looking for a gadget that will not only carry their logo, but also genuinely improve the visibility of the person wearing it. That’s how our personalised reflective textiles came about – knitted hats and scarves with certified reflective yarn, placed in the pattern, a patch or a pom-pom, that reflects light.

How does reflective yarn work?

In daylight, the reflective element looks like an ordinary part of the pattern or a subtle detail. Its colour is a light shade of grey that suits most designs. When light hits it – from car headlights, a torch or bike lights – it starts reflecting it intensely, making the wearer visible in the dark.

Importantly, it’s not just an eye-catching visual effect. The reflective threads and yarns we use are certified to SGS EN ISO 20471:2013+A1:2016. They give hats and scarves guaranteed safety and effective light reflection that genuinely increases visibility.

Three levels of visibility at night

Reflective elements in hats and scarves can be placed in several different ways: evenly across the whole product, in part of the pattern or as a detail. Each option gives a different effect:

  • All-over knit – reflective yarn woven through the entire knit in any colour. By day it creates a marl effect, at night it reflects light across the whole surface. A good choice when visibility matters most: outdoor work, commuting, sport after dark.
  • Part of the pattern – a stripe, a wave, a symbol or a logo in the pattern made with reflective yarn. A good option when you want to combine visibility with your brand’s character and a creative design.
  • Detail – a reflective pom-pom on a hat, or a patch or label with your logo. The best choice when the product should above all be fashionable, and the reflection is a nice extra.

A logo that shines after dark

Combine safety with an eye-catching presentation of your brand. The logo itself can also reflect light in two ways:

  • reflective print on a patch – reproduces both simple and detailed logos as well as any shape; after dark, the whole logo is visible,
  • embroidery with reflective thread – works best for simple, bold logos and outlines; by day it looks like classic embroidery, and after dark it reflects light.

Who are reflective textiles for?

Reflection works wherever people are on the move after dark, and wherever a brand wants to look after them:

  • outdoor work – couriers, service crews, field teams and logistics,
  • universities and schools – hats and scarves with a logo for students and pupils, like the reflective hats for Politechnika Łódzka (Lodz University of Technology),
  • sport and events – runs, rallies and winter events, after which the gadget stays with participants for a long time,
  • safety campaigns – initiatives by local authorities, schools and foundations that promote road safety.

How do you design your own hat or scarf?

On our reflective hats and reflective scarves pages, you’ll go through a simple configurator with 5 steps to choose from: style or size, extras, colours, branding method and material. You can switch the preview to “Night” and see straight away which part of the product will shine after dark.

  • minimum order: 100 pcs
  • prototype for approval before production
  • production: 100% Made in Poland

You can design the whole thing as a matching hat and scarf set – an ideal idea for an occasional corporate gift. Our reflective set – a hat and scarf in a personalised box – won 1st place in the Super Gift 2026 competition in the Gift Box category. Read more about the award in our PROMO SHOW 2026 report.
