A hat for students – how did we do it?

1. 01 Challenge

   Personalised winter hats for Erasmus+ students

   For Politechnika Łódzka (Lodz University of Technology) we prepared personalised winter hats for students of the Erasmus+ programme. The design had to combine two marks – the university’s name and the Erasmus+ logo – so that both stayed legible and didn’t compete with each other.

2. 02 Solution

   An embroidered reflective patch and a 3D logo badge

   We made the hats in a long slouchy cut with a deep cuff. We placed the university’s name on an embroidered patch with reflective thread, and the Erasmus+ logo on a separate, personalised 3D badge.

   Using two different branding techniques kept the character of both identities and gave each of them a clear place in the hat design.

3. 03 Result

   Personalised reflective hats with the university logo

   The result was winter hats with the logos of Politechnika Łódzka and Erasmus+, combining the university’s identity with a practical reflective detail. The finished personalised products went to students as something that builds a bond with the university and, at the same time, a modern promotional gadget whose form works well for everyday wear.
