Many companies assume that a “made-to-measure” gadget is a project for big brands with big budgets and runs reaching thousands of pieces. At dothat, we make personalised 3D products from just 100 pcs, which is enough for a conference, an event, or gifts for clients or your team. What does it look like in practice? Read on to see how to order a personalised gadget for your brand, step by step.
1. Tell us your idea for a personalised gadget
Most importantly, you don’t need a finished design or a 3D model. An idea, a logo, a sketch, an inspiration photo or a short description is enough. You can also start from a ready-made design in our catalogue and adapt it to your vision.
The simplest way to describe your idea and place an order is to use our form. It has 5 short steps and takes about 2 minutes to complete. Here is the information worth including:
- what you want to create – a 3D product, textiles or a whole set,
- the quantity – how many pieces of the gadget you need,
- the deadline – flexible, within a month or a specific date,
- your budget – optional, but it helps us find the best solution,
- files – a logo, sketch, inspiration or 3D design, if you have one (STL, OBJ, STEP, PDF, JPG, PNG).
2. Design and visualisation
Based on your idea, we choose the technical solutions – material, construction and finish – and prepare a design tailored to the product and your brand’s visual identity. You can personalise the shape, colour, branding and details completely from scratch, with no set frames or moulds.
3. Prototype for approval
Before main production starts, we make a prototype and send you photos of it for approval. There are no sudden surprises – we only start producing the whole order once you’ve approved the prototype. That way you can be completely sure your product will look exactly the way you expect.
A prototype can be the starting point for further versions of the same product in several colours, like the lace charms for the Municipality of Chrzanów, or for a coherent set of different products, as with the event gadgets for Festiwal Marketingu.
4. Production of the approved prototype
Once approved, we produce the agreed quantity. As standard, this takes about 2–4 weeks from design approval, although the lead time depends on the type of product, the quantity and the level of personalisation, and we give you the exact timing with your order. We make everything in Poland, in our own dothat workshop.
5. Packaging and shipping
We choose the packaging to suit the product and the nature of the project. There are plenty of options – from bulk packaging, through bags, to individual cards with your logo and design. We ship the finished order to the address you choose in Poland and across Europe.
What does the price depend on?
At dothat, we quote every project individually. The wide range of personalisation means each of our projects is one of a kind, and its individual features affect the time and method of production.
That’s why the price depends on many factors, mainly:
- the quantity,
- the size of the product,
- the level of personalisation,
- the finish and details.
The quote is completely free and non-binding – describe your idea and we’ll prepare a proposal.
