Wagon-shaped date indicator
For Orion Rail we handled an order for accessories made with 3D printing: date indicators for a three-part calendar, supplied with the calendars, and a ribbon charm that personalised the gift box.

Technical details
The wagon-shaped date indicator, made with 3D printing, slides onto the transparent strip of a three-part calendar. Its surface carries UV print with precise gradients and small elements. The same base was also used as a gift ribbon charm.

A wall calendar and a company Christmas gift – how did we do it?
- Challenge
Two promotional gadgets linked by one motif
The order covered two different products: a three-part wall calendar with a personalised date indicator, and an idea for making a company gift box more attractive.
The challenge was therefore to create two products that, despite their different uses, would look like parts of one consistent project for a transport company.
- Solution
A wagon as the main motif of the calendar and the gift packaging
We based both products on a railway wagon motif, referring directly to the visual identity of Orion Rail Logistics. The date indicator for the three-part calendar took the shape of a freight wagon with a window showing the current date. We used the same shape for a charm threaded onto a ribbon, part of the company Christmas gift. We matched the charm design to the white lines on the gift ribbon graphic, creating the effect of a track along which the little wagon travels.
The shared shape and dimensions of the calendar date indicator and the ribbon charm made it possible to optimise the cost and lead time of the projects.
- Result
One motif, two personalised promotional products
The client received personalised calendars with date indicators and a ready-made gift packaging decoration in one style. The wagon motif linked both company gadgets and gave the whole set a consistent identity.
On the calendar, the personalised element stays visible all year – the user regularly moves the date indicator, so the brand becomes part of their everyday life.
