Farewell statuette
For Alpha Solar we created a farewell statuette honouring our client’s work with a key employee who was changing career paths.
The prototype and inspiration for the client was our openwork showcase figure.

Technical details
The statuette is 169 mm tall and entirely openwork: its structure is an irregular lattice in which no two openings are the same. The 74 mm logo disc hangs inside it with no mounting of its own – the lattice closes around it.

A personalised statuette to thank an employee
The statuette was created as a thank-you to a key Alpha Solar employee who was starting a new chapter in their career. Instead of a standard engraved award, the client was looking for something designed specifically for one person and one brand.
The starting point for the design was one of our showcase pieces demonstrating what 3D printing technology can do.
- Solution
An openwork 3D statuette with a logo
It was inspired by our openwork showcase figure, which demonstrates dothat’s production capabilities. We designed the statuette on a similar principle – an irregular, three-dimensional lattice enclosed in a form measuring 132 × 74 × 169 mm.
At its centre we placed a 74 mm disc with the Alpha Solar logo. The openwork structure grows denser around the logo and forms its natural mounting, so the logo looks like an integral part of the whole piece.
3D printing let us achieve the complex geometry and three-dimensional structure that became the statuette’s defining features.
- Result
A unique statuette designed for one person
The result is a 3D statuette that combines a thank-you gesture with Alpha Solar’s distinctive brand identity. Its openwork construction and centrally placed logo mean it looks nothing like a standard corporate award.
The project also shows how 3D printing can be used to create one-off statuettes, awards and personalised corporate gifts with non-standard geometry.
